The JDS Uniphase PS3 Multimeter takes loss and polarization dependent loss (PDL) measurements on single-mode fiberoptic components, using either its internal Fabry-Perot laser diode source or an external source, such as fixed or tunable wavelength source. The PS3 can also make absolute power and return loss measurements.
The multimeter is guaranteed to be in proper working order. A couple of the digits appear light in the picture only because the values were changing as the picture was snapped. The display looks excellent in person.
